Hoyt is a communications professional with 30 years of experience in journalism, public relations and community relations in the fields of healthcare and education. Working with the American Cancer Society, The San Diego Unified School District, Western University of Health Sciences and National University’s Sanford School of Education, he has organized anti-tobacco and cancer prevention programs for at risk youth, promoted scholarships for young adults terming out of Foster care, and designed curricula emphasizing punctuality among elementary school students.
A parent of three daughters, Hoyt has been actively involved with reading and literacy organizations, high school athletics and the preservation of music classes in public schools. He has contributed to The V Channel as a writer, editor and advisor since 2012.
