TVC’s Student Filmmaker Project was conceived to help film, media and drama students develop their craft while producing positive and meaningful “V”Videos.
- 2-5 minute digital shorts based on the what, why and how of virtues
- Model positive behavior without stereotypes or clichés of ‘being good’
- Variety of genres: drama, comedy, documentary, musical and animation
Student filmmakers will receive our Proprietary Production Brief to guide them through the creative process; from character development and story ideation to writing final scripts that express how choosing virtues results in positive life experiences.
“V”VIDEOS EXPLORE TEEN LIFE AND VIRTUES
Approved “V”Video scripts are green-lighted to receive a production budget between $500-$5,000. Budgets are commensurate with director’s experience and are based on estimated production costs.
In addition to featuring student “V”Videos on The V Channel’s website, YouTube channel, and social networking services, we will partner with a top digital marketing agency to distribute student videos and a PR agency to build national awareness of the project.
“V”VIDEO EXAMPLES
A high school senior learns “PATIENCE” with the help of her violin.
A young man loses his temper resulting in tragic consequences. If only he had learned “DETACHMENT.”
Two sisters set aside their digital devices and experience “REVERENCE” for nature.
“V”VIDEOS IN THE CLASSROOM
The V Channel will develop a network of participating schools and produce student films to build a vast online library of “V” Videos. School screenings, reviews and classroom discussions offer youth-to-youth forums that give students a unique way to focus attention on what is ‘good’ in an often hostile and competitive world.
