PROPOSAL TO VICE MEDIA GROUP

Box of choices.v9There are many choices in life. Sadly, too many kids learn the hard way that some choices aren’t very sweet, and the bitter taste of making the wrong choice can last a lifetime.

LET’S INSPIRE THE WORLD’S YOUTH TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES

“I hope we shine a flashlight on some of the biggest problems that are facing humanity today. Then I hope we can all come together to fix them.”

With VICE Media Group, The “V” Channel can ‘shine a flashlight’ on the choices facing young people today, and give them practical guidance and inspiring content to help them make the right choices.

REAL-LIFE GOODNESS

The “V” Channel is changing perceptions of goodness. We produce creative, entertaining, and sometimes provocative content based on the what, why and how of virtues to help kids, teens and young adults prevail in an often hostile and competitive world. We take a stand against blame, shame and fear as ways of teaching kids life lessons. Instead, we promote uplifting ways for parents and teachers to bring out the very best in children.

THE FOUNDER’S VISION

Shane said“Do whatever interests you the most. Passion breeds success.”

The “V” Channel was founded by Scott Feraco. After 25 years as a creative director, he left the advertising business and combined his communications expertise with his passion for parenting. For the past three years he has been producing content and building a presentation website to exhibit The “V” Channel’s concept and potential. In addition to articles and blogs by educators, child psychologists and behavioral specialists, Feraco’s vision includes ORIGINAL “V” VIDEOS made by talented students and professional filmmakers. In the meantime, he’s making prototype videos using friends and family as cast and crew to demonstrate the power of “V” Videos.

BRANDED CONTENT “V” VIDEOS

“Crest doesn’t want to be next to severed heads.”

Naturally, Crest toothpaste and severed heads aren’t the best fit. However, Crest and virtues are. In fact, the entire family of P&G brands will want to be associated with The “V” Channel. So will many other family-friendly brands seeking marketing opportunities.

BRANDED CONTENT EXAMPLE: With the help of OREO cookies, a mother recognizes a teachable moment and brings out the superhero in her son.

VICE CAN GIVE VIRTUES AN EDGE

VICE can give The “V” Channel the edge it needs to inspire the world’s youth to choose goodness. We’re not talking about “goodie two-shoes” goodness to please mommy and daddy, or to be the teacher’s pet, or to brown-nose the boss… We’re talking about a fierce goodness that has the power to change lives.

According to the LinkedIn page, “VICE boasts over 60 established shows that cover everything from current events to sex to investigative reporting to music to kittens”.

In the spirit of idealism—daring to have big dreams and then acting as if they are possible—we respectfully and enthusiastically propose adding The “V” Channel “as yet another arm of your Shiva-like media organization”.

Let’s discuss the possibilities.
