Drawing on his experience in television programming, Adam consults for companies and individuals creating content for all media.
Most recently, Adam produced and co-wrote the documentary Tested, which premiered at DOC NYC 2015 and was named one of the best of the fest by the Village Voice. Following the premiere, the film was shown for the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans; it’s now touring with the director in screenings at conferences and orgs including Teach for America, the National Association for Ethnic Studies, and the White Privilege Conference; and universities including Yale, Duke, Princeton, Wellesley, and Northwestern, among many others.
As the #2 exec at HBO Digital, Adam developed short-form series for HBO’s digital platforms. As Executive Consultant, Disney|ABC Television Group, Adam was brought on to help launch ABC’s award-winning Micro-Mini Series; the position was expanded to include sharing oversight of the Disney|ABC Writing Fellowship and other programs. Previously, Adam was VP, Original Series, Current and Development for MTV, covering comedy, drama, and reality and serving as exec in charge of production on several shows.
Pre-MTV, Adam was Director, Comedy Series Programming at ABC Entertainment and Program Analyst at CBS Productions.
Before moving to L.A., Adam worked as an independent television producer in Boston and in politics as a lobbyist and speechwriter. He graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Linguistics and Psychology, and these days lives with his TV writer/producer wife (co-creator of ABC’s The Middle) and TV-loving twin boys in Pacific Palisades.
